Professor Cheng Shiu-Yuen, Dean of Science of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, had kindly accepted the invitation from the Mathematics Society of the School to conduct a seminar for the S4 and S6 science students on the topic of data security. The title of the seminar was “Diffie–Hellman Key Exchange Scheme”.
Professor Cheng had used an interactive approach and lots of examples to explain the difficult concepts of data security. The students were attentive during the talk and they found the seminar both interesting and inspiring.本校的數學學會很榮幸邀請到香港科技大學理學院院長──鄭紹遠教授──為中四及中六的理科生主持一個有關資訊保安的講座。演講的題目為「Diffie–Hellman交換密鑰方法」。
鄭教授以有趣互動的方式，輔以不同的例子深入淺出地介紹有關資訊保安的艱深概念。學生們都對講題感興趣，並認為講座很有意義及具啟發性。
