In order to widen students’ horizons and to apply the abstract concept of ecological succession into reality, our S.7 Geography students joined the field course organized by Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre in Tsuen Wan from 5th October to 6th October, 2009.
In the two-day field course, students investigated the structure and characteristics of two different woodlands in Hong Kong, analyzed the collected data from woodlands through experiments in laboratory, and then delivered presentations to share the results of analysis with classmates from other schools. Ecological characteristics and affecting factors of the woodland ecosystems is examined.「為擴闊同學之視野及應用課堂上的生態演替理論於現實觀察中，本校中七地理科於二零零九年十月五日至十月六日，參加了由可觀自然教育中心暨天文館主辦的樹林生態考察活動。
學生於兩天的實地考察中，嘗試從兩個環境條件不同的樹林搜集研究數據，再於實驗室仔細分析資料，其後再與其他學校的組別輪流作簡報分享研究所得，從而得知兩個樹林不同的生態特色及其背後成因。
