The Mystery of Reproduction through Double ‘Encounters’ – Principal Ho Takes You on a Tour of the Amazing Survival Skills of the Animal Kingdom!
On 15th March 2026, a cultural salon sponsored by China Merchants Group took place with great fanfare! Principal Ho himself led a fascinating and highly entertaining talk entitled The Mystery of Reproduction through Double ‘Encounters’. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, and students said that the world of biology had never seemed so interesting.
Birds of paradise dancing? Animals’ unexpected tricks steal the show!
Principal Ho didn’t just talk about biological knowledge – he also showed everyone how to ‘see the hidden patterns’. Through wonderful video clips, we got a glimpse of the astonishingly varied courtship skills of animals: the mesmerising dance moves of the bird of paradise, and all sorts of unexpected survival techniques… Every scene made the students stare wide-eyed with amazement.
From animal instinct to life wisdom – ‘Do your best and leave the rest to fate’
Alongside the fascinating facts about animals, Principal Ho also shared some heart-warming life advice. He said that just as animals try their hardest to show themselves off but cannot control everything, so too are many important moments in our lives full of uncertainty. The Principal gave everyone a very practical attitude: ‘Do your best and leave the rest to fate’ – work hard at what you can do, then gracefully accept the outcome.
Student feedback: ‘I would love to join such a salon again’
After the talk, student Yip said: ‘This event has not only greatly improved my understanding of animals, but also changed my attitude towards the world. If there is another salon like this, I will be the first to sign up!’
