2025-2026年度開放日
The 26th Open Day of CFSS was successfully held from November 14th to 16th, with this year’s theme being “Social Well-being” (expressed in Chinese as “關懷社會,關愛校園”). The event aimed to highlight the school’s commitment to fostering social awareness and a caring campus environment, while also showcasing its academic achievements and future-oriented vision.
The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Elsie Leung Oi-sie, the first Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, who served as the Guest of Honour. Her participation underscored the school’s emphasis on civic responsibility and the importance of law and social ethics in education.
A key feature of this year’s Open Day was a special exhibition dedicated to the life and contributions of Professor Liang Digang. Through detailed displays and narratives, the exhibition celebrated Professor Liang’s achievements and inspired students and visitors to appreciate the value of dedication to academic and social causes.
Additionally, the Open Day served not only as a platform to exhibit students' academic accomplishments and creative works but also as a valuable opportunity for students to engage directly with the public. Through personally explaining their projects and sharing insights into their curriculum and learning processes, students enhanced their communication skills, built confidence, and deepened their understanding of their own education. This interactive experience enriched their overall learning journey, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical, real-world engagement.
In addition to the exhibition, the school organized four S.1 Admission Information Sessions for the 2026–2027 academic year. These sessions were met with an overwhelming response, with all seats occupied and a vibrant atmosphere reflecting the strong interest from parents and prospective students.
The Open Day attracted a diverse audience, including alumni, parents, members of the public, and educational professionals. A total of 6,163 visitors were recorded over the three-day event, demonstrating its broad appeal and the school’s strong ties with the community.
In his closing address, Principal Mr. Ho Tik-shun expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Alumni Association and the Parent-Teacher Association for their unwavering support, which played a crucial role in the event’s success. He also outlined the school’s future direction, emphasizing a strategic focus on artificial intelligence (AI) as part of its commitment to providing students with forward-looking learning opportunities and preparing them for a technology-driven world.
The event concluded on a unifying note, with all attendees joining together to sing the school anthem, symbolizing the shared spirit and pride of the school community.
Overall, the 26th Open Day not only celebrated the school’s achievements and ethos but also set a clear pathway for its future development, blending tradition with innovation to nurture socially responsible and technologically adept learners.
