FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) is a competition designed for secondary school students using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against each other. The robot is programmed using a variety of languages. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategies and build robots based on sound engineering principles. In the season 2014-2015, 3,236 teams joined the FTC competition, involving 32,360 participants in more than 200 regional selection contests over the world,. Our school team, composed of Chan Nai To (5A), Chan Shing Hei Winston (5B), Zou Zhao Ning (5B), Fung Kin Ho (4A), Wu Tsz Yeung (4A), Yan Wing Yin (4C), Tang Ching (4E) and Yim Ka Ka (4E) got the Finalist Alliance Captain Award in FTC Hong Kong Selection Contest 2015-2016 and qualified for Asia Pacific FTC Competition in Sydney Macquarie University in 15 – 17 July 2016. Our students are confident of achieving another success in the competition.
