"2025 Four Seas, One Heart Cup: Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Traditional Southern Lion Dance Championship," in CFSS

The Chinese Foundation Secondary School is honored to co-organize the "2025 Four Seas, One Heart Cup: Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Traditional Southern Lion Dance Championship," taking place on July 6 (Sunday). We extend our gratitude to the Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Dragon and Lion Dance Association for their invaluable support. This event aims to promote traditional martial arts, unite various schools, enhance dragon and lion dance sports, cultivate talent, and organize diverse competitions and activities to foster multi-faceted development and increase the popularity of various sports.

The Southern Lion Dance, also known as the Awakening Lion or Guangdong Lion, is characterized by its striking appearance. The lion's head is inspired by the vibrant facial makeup of Chinese Opera, showcasing bright colors and intricate craftsmanship. Revered as the king of all beasts, the lion embodies majesty and strength. In ancient times, it was considered a symbol of bravery, believed to ward off evil spirits and protect both people and animals. This led to the tradition of lion dancing during the Lantern Festival and other significant events, symbolizing hopes for happiness and peace.

We thank the Association for organizing this competition! CFSS is committed to sharing resources with the community and collaboratively promoting Chinese traditional culture.
