25th Anniversary Variety Show
On 19th July 2025, CFSS proudly hosted its 25th Anniversary Variety Show at the Jockey Club Auditorium, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The event featured a rich and diverse programme across both afternoon and evening sessions. Students showcased their musical talents through performances by the String Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Chinese Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra. Vocal and dramatic presentations included English Choral Speaking, Choir, and the Chinese Opera. Dance performances added vibrancy to the show, with Jazz Dance and Chinese Dance highlighting both modern and traditional styles. Martial arts performance was also included in the show. The 25th Anniversary Celebratory Song 《以夢築根》, written by the students, was performed, symbolizing the school’s journey of growth and unity.
The highlight of the show was the original musical The Tree of Life, performed in both sessions. Set in the aftermath of a devastating rainstorm, CFSS students Jeffery, Charlie, Hazel, and Diana return to find their school in disarray. Amid the chaos, they encounter the mystical Tree of Life, which reveals that the true damage lies not in the physical destruction, but in the loss of spirit and camaraderie among students. To restore harmony and revive the Tree, the four must uncover the meaning behind the letters “CFSS.” Through music, reflection, and teamwork, they rekindle the bonds that unite them, ultimately healing both the Tree and their school. The musical’s message of resilience and unity deeply resonated with the audience, making it a fitting tribute to the school’s 25-year legacy.
The Variety Show concluded with the School Song, bringing together students, staff, alumni, and guests in a shared moment of pride and celebration. It was a day to remember—one that honored the past, celebrated the present, and inspired hope for the future.
