“Tide to Table” Global Challenges Student Showcase Project in HK Baptist University
On November 11, 2025 (Tuesday), our seventy S.3 students and teachers participated in the “Tide to Table” Global Challenges Student Showcase held at Hong Kong Baptist University. This engaging exhibition featured over 20 booths, showcasing innovative ideas generated by students from the Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes (DTUP). The primary focus of the showcase was to promote a sustainable relationship between humans and water, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14, which emphasizes “Life Below Water.”
The initiative seeks to address the detrimental effects of human activities on marine ecosystems, including issues such as marine pollution and overfishing. By advocating for effective ocean protection measures and the responsible use of marine resources, the exhibition aimed to raise awareness and foster a commitment to safeguarding our oceans. This is not only vital for preserving marine biodiversity but also essential for the well-being of current and future generations. Our students learnt from the demonstrated creative projects and showed a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, highlighting the importance of collective action in protecting our precious marine environments.
