CFSS Launches "Joyful Parenting Programme 2025-2026" with Impactful Movie Appreciation Seminar: "The Way We Talk"

In line with our school's deep commitment to home-school cooperation, the CFSS Student Support Team has launched the "Joyful Parenting Programme" for the 2025-26 academic year. This initiative is designed to equip parents with effective strategies to support their children through the various challenges of growth and development.

The programme's inaugural event, a "The Way We Talk" Movie Appreciation Seminar, was successfully held on the morning of Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event brought together a significant number of students, parents, and teachers for a special cinematic experience in a reserved theater.

The featured film told the powerful stories of three deaf young people from different backgrounds. It offered a poignant look into their daily lives, their struggles, and their journeys toward social integration, prompting a profound reflection on identity and belonging. Through innovative sound design, the audience was uniquely immersed in the auditory world of the deaf community, fostering a deeper sense of empathy and understanding.

Following the screening, a thought-provoking discussion was led by Principal Ho Tik Shun and the Chairlady of the Parent-Teacher Association. They provided insightful commentary on the film's themes, underscoring the importance of empathetic communication, active listening, and creating a supportive and inclusive environment at home.

They also encouraged all students to embrace diversity, practice kindness in their daily interactions, and to courageously share their own thoughts and feelings with their families and peers.

The seminar was met with enthusiastic feedback, marking a successful and meaningful start to the "Joyful Parenting Programme."
