CFSS's Chinese Putonghua Debate Team Members Won the BEST DEBATER in the World Secondary School Mandarin Debate Open
Our school's Putonghua Debate Team participated in the World Secondary School Mandarin Debate Open from 22 to 28 February, 2026. Four of our team members traveled to Malaysia to compete against dozens of elite teams from across Asia. In the group stage, our students faced seeded teams, giving their best and delivering outstanding performances. Despite being their first time participating in such a competition, they achieved commendable results. Although they regrettably stopped at the Round of 16, two of our new debaters Cao Tian Yuan and Yan Ngok won the title of Best Debater award in the competition against the Shanghai High School Joint Team and the Kuala Lumpur Chong Hwa Independent High School team in two matches.
The four members are: Cao Tian Yuan, Wu Minyi and Yan Ngok from 2E, Xu Jia Jing Linda from 1A.
