The China Merchants Youth Association "Hong Kong Youth 1872 Salon" in CFSS
We would like to express our gratitude to the CMG Youth Federation for organizing the "Hong Kong Youth 1872 Salon" at The Chinese Foundation Secondary School on Monday, March 24. The theme of the event was "The Humanistic Spirit of Taekwondo," and Mr. Ho Hon-yui was invited as the guest speaker. During the lecture, Mr. Ho eloquently elaborated on the cultural foundation, historical origins, and philosophical thoughts of Taekwondo, while also providing a detailed introduction to its training system and promotion pathway. Drawing from his own life experiences, he shared how the spirit of Taekwondo can be integrated into social values, not only nurturing students' interest in sports but also actively promoting charitable volunteer activities and guiding young people toward developing positive values. Mr. Ho encouraged the students with his motto: "Learn humbly, live humbly; always remember that you are not the strongest, so you must keep striving." At the end of the lecture, he engaged in an impromptu kicking demonstration with six students, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.
We once again extend our heartfelt thanks to CMG for continuously providing diverse learning platforms for young people, helping them strengthen their ideals, broaden their horizons, accumulate knowledge, and cultivate depth, as they gather a vibrant and upward-moving force on their journey of growth.
