Melodies That Bridge Campus and Hearts – Uniting Gratitude and Legacy Through Music
On Thursday, 3 July, the school successfully held its annual concert – a true feast for both the ears and the soul. The Symphony Orchestra delivered the grandeur of Western classical music through sweeping strings and brilliant brass, while the Chinese Orchestra told tales of Eastern elegance and depth with instruments such as the guzheng, erhu, and bamboo flutes. The Choir, with their clear and harmonious voices, sent one moving piece after another straight into the hearts of every guest. The melodies lingered long after each note faded, as if the entire auditorium was gently embraced by music.
We were deeply honoured to have our Parent Manager, Ms. Cher Man Wai, and members of the Parent-Teacher Association in attendance. Their presence was not only the greatest affirmation of our students’ hard work, but also a testament to the strong partnership between home and school – a shared commitment to nurturing the whole person. As the concert drew to a close, all teachers, students, and guests rose together and sang the school anthem with one voice. That familiar tune, carrying decades of the school’s spirit and memories, resonated through the hall, at once a cherished reflection on the present and a hopeful vision for the future. As the final notes gently faded, thunderous applause filled the room, bringing the annual concert to a warm and perfect conclusion. Yet the inspiration kindled by music will continue to echo across our campus, timeless and ever-renewing.
