New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir jointly performing with CFSS Choir
The New Zealand Secondary School Students' Choir visited The Chinese Foundation Secondary School on Thursday, 9 July, bringing an unforgettable musical feast to the entire school community. We were greatly honoured to have Mr. Peter Lund, Consul General of New Zealand to Hong Kong, as the Guest of Honour, whose presence added distinction to the occasion. The choir performed at a professional standard, with pure and harmonious vocals and exquisite interpretations that captivated every teacher, student, and guest present. Their melodies were so enchanting that they seemed to linger in the air long after the performance, truly a case of "music echoing round the halls for days." Even more precious was the opportunity for our school choir to perform side by side with the New Zealand students, where young talents from both places connected through song, displaying remarkable rapport and creating moving moments on stage.
After the performance, members of both choirs shared a luncheon together, engaging in warm and lively conversations about their cultures, music, and school life in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This exchange not only deepened the friendship between the two schools but also broadened our students' international perspectives. It was more than just a musical collaboration; it was a sincere dialogue of hearts and cultures.
