CFSS Holds "Tiangong Class" Aerospace Science and Technology Learning Day

CFSS specially organized a "Tiangong Class" aerospace science and technology themed learning activity on campus on 9 Sep 2026 (Wed). The school arranged for students to watch the wonderful content of the national "Tiangong Class" and simultaneously conducted ground-based scientific experiment replications, guiding young students to explore the mysteries of the universe, gain an in-depth understanding of the nation's outstanding achievements in aerospace technology development, and cultivate a sense of patriotism.

To help students more intuitively understand physical phenomena under microgravity conditions, our teachers specially led students in conducting ground-based simulation experiments during the activity, recreating the classic experiments from the "Tiangong Class". Students carefully observed the significant differences between Earth's gravity and the space microgravity environment. This process not only made abstract scientific principles tangible but also effectively cultivated students' logical thinking and scientific inquiry abilities.

The students who participated in the activity responded with great enthusiasm, expressing their admiration for the nation's aerospace endeavors and astronauts.

- Reflections on Astronaut Spirit and the Nation's Technological Leap: Some students specifically mentioned their admiration for the astronauts involved in manned spaceflight missions (such as payload specialist Dr. Lai Ka-ying and other aerospace professionals), praising their unwavering willpower and outstanding professional competence in the face of rigorous training. One student said, "Seeing astronauts seamlessly conducting various complex experiments in the 'Tiangong' space station made me deeply feel the rapid development and strong capabilities of our nation's aerospace technology. As a Chinese, I feel immensely proud."

- Awareness of Hong Kong's Contributions and Future Aspirations: Other students also pointed out that the activity helped them realize that Hong Kong's research teams and talents have been actively participating in the research, development, and logistical support of national aerospace projects, which greatly inspired them. Some students even aspired to pursue careers in STEAM or scientific research in the future, hoping to contribute to the technological development of Hong Kong and the nation with what they have learned.

CFSS has long been committed to promoting science popularization education and national education. The school stated that the "Tiangong Class" closely integrates cutting-edge aerospace technology with daily science teaching, making it an excellent vehicle for advancing aerospace education and cultivating students' scientific literacy. Through such activities, not only can young people's spirit of exploration into the unknown be ignited, but students can also deeply appreciate the nation's prosperity and development through its major technological achievements, effectively strengthening their sense of belonging to the country and national identity.
